Loved the peace and quiet of the village. Husband, ex postie even managed to chat with a local, also a postal worker!.
Rather a short break so not much time to assess. One or two small things, it was very warm downstairs, no notes on turning down the heating, although we had 2 small children so it was good for them. They loved the warm floor! We did not use the cooker, only the microwave. We couldn't find any instructions and it was not a model were are familiar with. The wood fire, the same, although I would be wary of using it with small children around, and it wasn't needed this time.
We would like to come back for a longer visit, but won't be eating out every day like this time, so the oven instructions would be useful.
Elder daughter in the small bedroom failed to find the duvet, tucked under the pillows like a hotel does, until she stripped the bed on the last day.
We had a few stubbed toes on the step down to the dining room, but we eventually got used to it and nothing broken.
