Take a quick trip upstairs to see the bedrooms, which include a double, twin, and single, serviced by bathroom.

Fantastic coastal walks are within 100 yards of the property along the South West Coast Path either into Portland / Weymouth harbour (via the Rodwell Trail) or along the coast towards West Bay.

Kite and windsurfing, kayaking and stand-up paddle boarding are also very popular at the nearby Portland Bay and there are lots of outdoor pursuits experts offering tuition or will hire out equipment.

The National Sailing School (Weymouth & Portland National Sailing Academy), an Olympic legacy is just two miles away on the edge of Portland Harbour.

The SEA LIFE CENTRE, Sandworld, the historic amusements at Alexandra Gardens, the Nothe Fort and Nothe Gardens, which will enthral any budding historians, and the historic amusements at Alexandra Gardens are just a few of the nearby attractions.

Spend some time perusing the shops in search of a souvenir to take home, and while the stunning South West Coast Park is ideal for avid walkers; why not explore the Jurassic Coast and travel back in time by looking at the fossils there?

A magnificent getaway is promised at Lagoon View in Dorset.

About the location

WYKE REGIS

Weymouth 2 miles; Dorchester 9 miles.

Wyke Regis is a village on the south western side of Weymouth that sits on the northern edges of Portland Harbour and reaches as far as the back of Chesil beach and The Fleet, just two miles from the centre of Weymouth. There are local shops, cafés and restaurants including the famous Crab House café, with it’s own oyster beds on the doorstep. The National Sailing School, an Olympic legacy, offers a wide variety of water sports and is just two miles away on the edge of Portland Harbour. The Fleet Lagoon that runs between Wyke Regis and Chesil beach is an important area for wildlife and there are many species of birds to be seen in the area, whilst Chesil beach is also a renowned spot for fishing. The Fleet is probably most famous for being the testing ground for Barnes Wallis’s bouncing bomb, immortalised in the film the Dam Busters. Wyke Regis is the perfect location from which to explore many of Dorset’s most iconic locations on the Jurassic Coast.
