The property

Brock Cottage is an attractive, traditional, seaside cottage sitting just a moment from West Bay Harbour, which featured in the ITV drama series 'Broadchurch'.

It has a stylish interior with many home comforts and a patio garden with lawn and furniture to spend a lazy evening in the sun.

The spacious interior ensures you and your loved ones can unwind after day on a beach or exploring the countryside, with plenty of walks around in the area.

The cottage comes with three well-presented bedrooms, allowing you to choose from a king-size double, a double and a twin bedroom.

To the outside, your canine companions can stretch their legs on the lawn, whilst you soak up the sun on the patio area, drinking in the coastal atmosphere as you plan activities for the following day.

To keep you busy whilst staying at Brock Cottage, you will find a sandy beach, fishing, diving and boat trips, along with local shops, cosy pubs and renowned restaurants, all within striking distance of the cottage, offering something for all ages and tastes.

The harbour offers great views towards the beach and beyond to East Cliff and the World Heritage Jurassic Coastline, as well as access to walks along the coastal path.

The market town of Bridport is only a short drive, bus trip or walk away, with its variety of shops, local theatre/cinema and twice-weekly market.

Weymouth, Dorchester and Lyme Regis are a pleasant half an hour‘s drive away or for relaxation, catch the Jurassic Coastline hop-on/hop-off bus during the summer season.

Brock Cottage is a splendid cottage for a large group of family or friends looking to enjoy the popular attractions of the Jurassic Coast.

About the location

WEST BAY

Bridport 1.5 miles; Lyme Regis 11 miles

West Bay, fondly known as “The Gateway to the Dorset Jurassic Coast” and popularised by the TV series Broadchurch, lies close to the glorious sandstone cliffs of Golden Cap, at the western end of the dramatic pebbly Chesil Beach. This is a wonderful seaside location, perfect for family holidays, offering scenic walks along the South West Coast Path, as well as ample opportunities to try your hand at sea fishing, crabbing, boating and golf. Visit the homes of Thomas Hardy and TE Lawrence, the Tank Museum at Bovington or the Naval air Museum at Yeovil. Only 1.5 miles away is the vibrant market town of Bridport, featured in the TV series, River Cottage. The area holds plenty of attractions to suit the whole family! Just a short drive West takes you to Charmouth for fossil hunting, to the picturesque seaside resort of Lyme Regis, and to River Cottage HQ near Axminster. To the East are the lovely Sub-tropical Gardens and Swannery at Abbotsbury, and the golden sands of Weymouth. This wonderful location makes an ideal base for a great family holiday.
