The property

Just a ten-minute walk away from the small sandy beach at Sandsfoot near the sailing club, Covecastle Cottage is an attractive Edwardian terraced property in Weymouth. It offers spacious accommodation in tastefully finished rooms with contemporary furnishings.

It is a lovely property for a romantic break and is in a great location to explore Weymouth on foot.

Enjoy breakfast in the kitchen or gather together for an evening meal in the dining room with all family, feel free to invite some friends over as the table sits 6 people.

Make sure to browse through the artwork on the walls as every room has its own spirit and you can easily name them by the paintings or colour. Located in a quiet residential area the property is within a 20-minute walk of Brewers Quay and the pretty Old Harbour in Weymouth which has a good variety of restaurants, cafes and pubs giving an alfresco feel to the area.

Walking from the property is a secluded Sandsfoot beach favoured by locals.

A few minutes away is Sandsfoot Castle and gardens with its fantastic outlook to the horizon where you can see Portland harbour.

Enjoy delicious Dorset’s ice cream from the little kiosk whilst admiring the view.

The Rodwell trail is popular for a gentle stroll or cycle and follows the old railway line from Weymouth to Portland and Chesil Beach.

A stop at Ferrybridge for the acclaimed Crab House Cafe is a popular option, but make sure to book your table in advance. Newton's cove is another local beach with stunning views of the Isle of Portland, Harbour and the bay.

After an enjoyable day outdoors, you may wish to savour a refreshing drink in the pretty decked garden. The county town of Dorchester is only 8.5 miles away with quite a few museums and nice walks along the River Frome.

Venture 7 miles further and you will find the famous and stunning 26-acre Sculpture Park & Gardens with Gallery cafe.
