    “Dispute ongoing.”

I appreciate I caused minor damage to a table but with only 4 table mats available and property is advertised as an 8 person i placed a chilled water bottle on the table as no other option, but owner has subsequently charged me £780 for this repair. I could have replaced the table for less than £300 as so many replacements on Ebay also contacting other french polishers this repair is approx £100. The advertised property and grounds were not kept as the advertised as 4 star, in my opinion, especially compared to other companies standards which I have used previously, and who advertise their properties honestly not sure I would use Skyes again. Garden - rubbish including old water cisterns, garbage, random scissors around garden and the grounds, wheelbarrow with old bee hive and stale water and various garden garbage piles causing flies etc. Main Bathroom -No shower hose on bath attachment, also pubic hair in the bath on arrival, when we arrived shower blocked on first use! hence understood why the plunger was adjacent the shower. Main bedroom - no clothes hanging facility expected to hang clothes in bathroom where hangers were!. Very noisy on main road and although double glazing on front and side bedrooms of the property the glazing rattled and vibrated constantly as not fitted correctly so caused sleepless nights for all in those rooms. Ground floor Bedroom -Shower flooded every time it was used and our parent who is disabled and unstable on their feet (which is why we booked property for the ground floor bathroom) this caused massive discomfort and a privacy issue for them to shower every day . Gardens overgrown so not easy to access to the beautiful walk at end of gardens, also neighbors' chickens roamed the back garden so if you had a pet which we did it caused a daily dilemma, the property was advertised as pet friendly so this was an issue as our dog as he could not be allowed in the garden unattended. The cleaner turned up on day 3 to tell me I should have been gone by 10am so a admin error. Finally, We caused a small water damage to the table in lounge/Dining area as lack of table protection for 8 people (as property advertise) table mats available were 4 mats and 4 coasters (so inadequate for 8 at the table) when we sat at the table we were a family of 6 as booked Ref F38DT-24- I have had a number of calls and online chats with you regarding the damage to the table at the property.. It appears the company support the property owner who just produces a quote(no question to who produces as not on company headed paper just a typed sheet) to which they have debited my credit card without my approval or any evidence. Also frustratedly they do not ask for more than one quote or verification to proposed work. The damage was so small when comparing the size of the table and could have had someone visit to French polish at approx. £100. I have also seen replacement tables of equal quality, for around £300 on eBay. Skyes cottages have charged me £780,Sykes cottages have not supported us as customers and allowed the estimate the owners have produced on non headed paper to be taken from my credit card without giving us time to review or make comment .
