“Very pleased with the property - ideal location with easy access to harbour & town centre.”

The kitchen is well equipped with all the utensils needed. The cottage was spotlessly clean & the welcome pack was much appreciated. We enjoyed our stay so much that we have already booked the same property for Christmas next year. Couple of things to mention - the shower Matt was not very clean and the parking bay was a bit cluttered with 3 bins only one of which for Goliath - parking bay could do with line painting on the floor to clearly mark out each parking space as at times the car in the ...

Only a small property but well thought out but being tall the bathroom can be a bit of a problem but just remember to watch your head. The kitchen has all equipment you require and the lounge has plenty of space for a couple and a dog to sit in comfort also the bedroom was large enough and a comfortable bed

“What a beautiful little place Goliath is!”

So clean and modern, every little thing you may need has been thought of! Our own parking space in the gated courtyard was brilliant especially with it being so close to the harbour which is literally a 2 minute walk away. Love Weymouth, loved this beautiful little place, we will definitely be back!

Great location, very close to the harbour and Nothe Fort, so lovely walks from the doorstep. Spotless property and brilliantly equipped. Absolutely no complaints at all! We were very happy there. The heating and hot water failed on us on boxing day morning which was just one of those crazily timed things. It was sorted and back on within 2 hours of us reporting it, so we were really pleased with the response to this, thank you!

“We stayed in this property last year and I said then how fabulous it was, spotlessly clean, perfect location and great secure parking.”

My only criticism was the lack of a chest of drawers to store jumpers etc in the bedroom. There is now a small hanging fabric storage unit in the wardrobe but this is so small it doesn't really help much. Otherwise we LOVE this property.

Having read your comment and checked the website, we realised that the summary at the top of the listing did say Bathrooms - 2. However, lower down within the detailed information it says Bathroom (indicating only one) and in the photo reel, only one bathroom can be seen. “Very tastefully furnished and decorated.”

We think it was Next and Dunelm, a welcome change from some of the old furnishings we have had in the past. Also a decent flat screen tv, a small horrible tv puts us off a property immediately. Parking under cover was brilliant. Location, walking distance to town we loved. Only slight criticism we had was uncomfortable seating area outside. which we didn’t use, but you can’t have everything.

Recently fitted out everything is new and clean. Car parking is great, secure behind gates to the mews. The location is second to none being two minutes walk from the harbour and the facilities there and the location provides a great base to explore further. Didn't know quite what to expect of Weymouth but it's good. We went slightly out of season but there was still plenty open. Would go again

“Goliath is an absolutely beautiful holiday cottage.”

Ideally situated with a less than 5 minute walk to Hope Square and the harbour and the secure private parking is an absolute bonus. The cottage itself is spotlessly clean and tastefully decorated. The only slight improvement I could suggest would be the addition of a chest of drawers in the bedroom as trying to fit underwear, teeshirts, jumpers etc into the small drawers in the bedside cabinets is quite challenging. Otherwise we absolutely loved the place and would definitely stay there again.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Everything about the property is just perfect - the location, the way it has been decorated and furnished, the facilities. What a treat to find everything where you need it - plugs by mirrors, coat hooks by the front door, towel / door hooks in the bathroom, hairdryer, iron and ironing board. It was made even better by having a car parking space - priceless in Weymouth ! We shall look forward to staying at Goliath again. Thank you.

“Everything about this property - and its location was perfect.”

The property is only small, being a conversion of one of the old brewery stables (previously home to the shire horse - Goliath) - but everything is so thoughfully designed and laid out, and with such attention to detail that it had with everything that we needed. Very comfrotable, clean and cosy. The location was also perfect. It was our first visit to Dorset and we loved it - Weymouth is such a lovely seaside town and the cottage is only a few minutes walk from the old harbour area with so many historic points of interest - and close to pubs, restaurants, shops and green spaces. We did not want to leave - and look forward to returning in future.

This cosy hideaway is just moments from Weymouth’s historic harbour and is the perfect couples retreat from which to explore the delights of the Jurassic Coast.The beautifully converted stable offers a warm and welcoming sitting room diner, where you really can escape from it all and relax in comfort after a busy day exploring the local area.

The well-equipped kitchen has everything you need to cook a delicious meal, but should you prefer to eat out, you are just a few moments-walk from Hope Square and the harbour where you can find several restaurants and bars that offer lovely food.

Ideally located, you will find you are within walking distance of plenty of gorgeous views and places to discover.

Newton’s Cove is just 3 minutes-walk away and offers unrivalled views of Portland and beyond.

Follow the footpath to the fort and wander around the meandering footpaths of The Nothe Gardens, where the mature trees frame lots of beautiful sea views.

The harbour area is perfect for an alfresco dinner or drink, and not forgetting watching the ships sail past and the fishermen busily going about their daily catch.

When you feel you want to explore further afield there are plenty of things to see, catch the ferry from the harbourside to Portland and wander around the castle, admire the boats at the National Sailing Academy or stride out and explore the South West Coast Path which starts just a few minutes-walk from the front door.

BREWERS QUAY HARBOUR

Dorchester 8.7 miles; West Lulworth 15.8 miles

Brewers Quay is the old Victorian brewery situated at the heart of the harbour, in Weymouth, Dorset. Much of the grade II listed complex and surrounding brewery buildings date from the late 1800 early 1900’s and many have stones inlaid commemorating their construction year. This area is now a popular destination with many restaurants, café and bars, creating a vibrant culture, where you can relax with a drink and watch the world go by. Tucked away down the harbourside streets, you will find original Tudor harbour buildings, estimated to have been built in 1600 and well worth a visit, with a very interesting history to share. You will also find the Weymouth Museum, with some incredible exhibitions, and the harbour is also home to the lifting bridge, where you can watch the luxury yachts head out to sea, and then walk over the bridge to the town's winding streets of boutique shops and the seafront esplanade and beach. There is more to this seaside town than meets the eye; Brewers Quay is a much-loved holiday destination in Weymouth!
