“Sunny Haven is set in a lovely location with easy access to the surrounding area.”

The beds were comfortable, the kitchen fully equipped and a large secure garden. Everything we needed was available, the only thing I would recommend is a light for the back garden.

After a satisfying meal, retire to the living room, which doubles as a dining area, for some quality time with your loved ones in front of the TV.

A well-appointed bathroom awaits with bath and separate walk-in shower so you can pick how best to prepare for the day ahead.

In addition, there is a private cloakroom for your use.

When sleep beckons, retire to one of two nicely designed bedrooms, a double and a twin, both with a great vista over the rear yard.

In the nearby hamlet, you may stop in at the warm and inviting Bridge Inn or The Spice Ship for a meal, fill up on necessities at the well-stocked convenience store, or pick up your favourite bottle of wine at Chalbury Food & Wine.

Continue onto Weymouth, where you will find a wealth of gorgeous beaches with excellent watersports opportunities, as well as fantastic wildlife watching opportunities at RSPB Lodmoor and RSPB Radipole Lake, a sea life centre, bustling Pleasure Pier, and the impressive Victorian Nothe Fort and Gardens.

Further afield, you will find Dorchester, where you may see the Keep Military Museum, the Roman Town House, and the Dorset Museum, as well as the National Trust site of Max Gate, Thomas Hardy's childhood home.
