Norden House is a wonderful holiday home, sitting within the tranquillity of the Dorset countryside in the village of Maiden Newton.
Internally, the property exudes style and character, emphasised through the exposed beams, original features and traditional stonework.
After a day of walking, pop off your boots and sink into the sumptuous corner sofa, gently easing yourself into the evening as the woodburning stove provides a lovely warmth to the room.
Take to the kitchen to prepare your meals, with a Range electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge/freezer to assist you, while the dishwasher and washer/dryer comes in handy too.
After a filling feast, retire to the bedrooms to catch your rest, each of which enjoys white bedding and boutique furnishings to store your personal things.
When the weather’s nice, take advantage of the spacious garden, whether it be family game on the lawn or an afternoon picnic on the bench, it’s a lovely spot to unwind.
The lively village of Maiden Newton provides lots to enjoy, with a good selection of shops including a well-stocked local village store, a pub serving food, should you fancy a night off cooking, along with a train station which means leaving the car won’t be a problem!
For a day at the seaside, the quiet village of Burton Bradstock offers golden sands and hidden coves, or head along to Bridport Harbour and West Bay Beach for plenty to see and do.
Weymouth is home to further activities including the popular SEA LIFE Centre and the renowned Sandworld attractions, as well as plenty of shops, pubs, restaurants and bars to choose from.
Once those are ticked off, take a trip out to the Isle of Portland for a memorable ramble or hike around the Dorest AONB, or visit the vibrant town of Dorchester where you can meander the bustling high street and visit some of the country’s best preserved Roman ruins.
With all this within easy reach, there’s plenty to fill your holiday itinerary while at Norden House.
