The property

Resting close to the harbour in Poole, Dorset is this inviting, mid-terrace cottage of Poole Quay Cottage.

A delightful setting for a family of four's coastal getaway, Poole Quay Cottage is within reach of ample seaside attractions and sights.

After parking in the private spot behind the property, make your way inside to find an attractive open-plan living space hosting all you need for your self-catering stay.

Sink back into the sofa or an armchair and switch on the TV to enjoy your favourite show; why not enjoy your favourite tipple, you're on holiday after all?

After unwinding for a bit, make your way over to the kitchen, where wooden units behold a range of integrated appliances, including a cooker as well as a washer/dryer!

Once the foodie of the group has prepared a mouthwatering delight, take it over to the wooden dining table and savour it as you discuss the day's events.

When sleep calls, head upstairs and catch your rest in one of the two charming bedrooms, a double and a twin.

A shower room completes the property's accommodation, where you can enjoy invigorating rinses in the double, glass enclosure.

The courtyard behind the property is the perfect space for alfresco dining, thanks to it being enclosed and featuring bistro furniture.

Embark on a short walk down to Poole Quay, where the intriguing attractions of the Poole Museum and RNLI Poole Lifeboat Museum await, alongside the delights of the Rapid Fisher Fishing Trips, South Coast Jet Ski Hire and the Poole Cycle Speedway.

After exploring the nearby sights, be sure to stop for something to eat at one of the waterside eateries, with the Italian restaurant of La Lupa and the seafood restaurant of the Poole Arms taking centre stage.

Spend some time in Sandbanks, a picture-postcard peninsula hosting the stunning sands of Cubs Beach and Sandbanks Beach, as well as sailing opportunities to Shell Bay.

Sandbanks is also home to Rick Stein's Restaurant, which boasts unspoilt views of the harbour and Brownsea Island; here you can sample a great selection of seafood dishes.

For a day out in a coastal resort, head to Bournemouth, where the wonders of Bournemouth beach, the Oceanarium and the renowned pier await.

For outdoor adventures, why not venture to the Moors Valley Country Park & Forest and Studland and Godlingston Heath National Nature Reserve?

Choose Poole Quay Cottage for a memorable break in Dorset.

About the location

POOLE

The town of Poole is dominated by one of the world's biggest natural harbours, which features five pine clad islands and regular boat trips. The largest of these islands is Brownsea Island, where Baden Powell began the Scout Movement. To the west is the 'Isle of Purbeck', which offers visitors scenic countryside, dotted with quaint villages and stunning seascapes, plus Lulworth Cove, Durdle Door and Corfe Castle are well worth a visit. The local beaches at Sandbanks provide excellent facilities for all kinds of watersports. Alternatively, visit the neighbouring family friendly seaside resort of Bournemouth and within driving distance is the fascinating New Forest National Park.
