It was a lovely place to stay but the mattress needs replacing uncomfortable to sleep on even though we brought our own mattress topper
Cottage is as described, with steps in the kitchen.
The cooker is right above the steps which is a bit awkward. I reported a light switch not working at the back entrance of the house into the kitchen, which could be dangerous when you enter at night, because of the steps in the kitchen. The agent sent an electrician, but he couldn’t fix it as he was not familiar with wireless light switches. So, the agency dismissed the problem. In the end I fixed the problem myself, although I am not an electrician. Instructions on waste bins were not up to date and the agent Dream Cottages were not able to provide me with up to date information. The bathroom was not properly cleaned on my arrival. The grouting between the tiles had a lot of mould, which could easily be removed. So I cleaned it myself. Despite the above, I did enjoy staying in the cottage. The facilities provided were decent and sufficient. The surrounding area is very beautiful. I had a lot of wonderful hikes along the coast and inland.
This cottage is what I would call quirky based on its age.
I found the cottage clean and comfortable but people should remember that there are steps down from the kitchen into the lounge. Also steps from the lounge into the downstairs bathroom. Generally you can find street parking close to the property, it’s a long walk from the cottage to the sea front.
