The property

As the name of the property suggests, The View is amazing property boasting fantastic scenery along Chesil beach towards Lyme Bay and dramatic West cliffs of the Isle of Portland. The View can accommodate up to six guests in three bedrooms, two of which are located on the ground floor, with the third on the second floor, which is perfect for a group of friends. Along with this spectacular location the property has the benefit of a light modern interior with a wonderful stain glass window showing one of the most popular locations in Portland – the Portland Bill lighthouse. Living area is comfortable for relaxing and just enjoying the views or having a nice dinner altogether.

There is a mix of furniture with sofas and armchairs all with cushions for your convenience. Enjoy a drink in the patio area whilst sinking in the views and planning adventures for the next day. The View is in an elevated position just a short stroll from Chesil beach and promenade, which is part of the coastal path around Portland, perfect for walkers and birdwatchers.

Chesil beach stretches along the Jurassic Coast, where you can enjoy exciting beach activities like kite surfing, as well as scuba diving and angling.

National Sailing Academy is nearby to occupy yourself for a day. Whatever the weather, be it winter storms or tranquil summer days the views over the Chesil beach are glorious with waves crashing to the shore, a walk on the Chesil bank is highly recommended.

Quiddles café is one of the island’s favourites with fresh seafood menu.

Just a short stroll away are a variety of places to eat and local shops are readily located nearby.

Seaside town of Weymouth is just a short drive away with many shops, restaurants and sandy 3-mile beach. The View will suit guests looking to find a well-appointed, contemporary property in a coastal location.

Situated on Dorset's spectacular Jurassic Coast, now a World Heritage Site, the village of Fortuneswell can be found on the rugged Isle of Portland peninsula, joined to the mainland via Chesil Beach, a pebble spit, which stretches 18 miles towards West Bay. Formerly a quarrying area, Fortuneswell boasts a good variety of shops, pubs and restaurants, along with an intriguing maze of streets that wind their way up a steep hill to offer stunning views of the Jurassic Coast and the rolling hills of Dorset beyond. The surrounding countryside is well known as a birdwatcher’s paradise, plus with great walking and climbing opportunities, an array of watersport activities, wonderful sandy beaches, and Weymouth just 5 miles away, this super holiday destination is not to be missed!
