“We stayed here for 3 nights 70 birthday, the house has a lot of character lovely grounds for grand children to play in.”

The swimming pool was closed not that we would have used it in November. The aga is quite hard work to cook on and I think in need of a service. The little cooker is a help but a bit old if you turn on the back left ring on knocks the trip out other than that had every thing else you need to cook.I would recommend this house but is in need of a few maintenance issues however we had 3 enjoyable days here.

Hi thank you, for your feedback. not sure why we gave such a rating for facilities please could expand so that I can improve on this. the Aga can be tricky if you’re not used to using one , most people enjoy the experience , however we do have a smaller electric cooker in addition to this. The Aga is serviced by tG Crabb of Bridport every six months and has just recently been serviced. We are not aware of any outstanding maintenance issues but would appreciate specific feedback if possible please in order that these can be addressed so we can continue to offer pleasurable relaxing holidays for our geusts. pleased do enjoyed your stay and hope to visit Deer Leap estate Kind Regards Hannah. The property

Deer Leap House, named after the free-ranging deer that frequent the grounds, can be found on the outskirts of the Dorset village of Moreton.

This beautiful, spacious holiday home is perfect for hosting a large family or group of friends thanks to its seven comfortable bedrooms.

There is a games room with a TV and a pool table, as well as a shared tennis court and outdoor pool, along with ample off-road parking and charming original features that have been tastefully blended with contemporary, characterful furnishings.

After a day of exploring Dorset, come home to relax with family and friends on the plush blue sofa in front of the TV in the spacious living room, where a woodburning stove in the hallway adds to the tranquil environment.

The designated cook will feel right at home in the well-appointed kitchen, which includes a range cooker, here they can whip up delicious meals for the entire group, which can be enjoyed together in the spacious dining room, a rarity for such gatherings.

After sharing stories and catching up with family members, head out onto the wrap around terrace to watch the sun go down over the countryside.

When the evening draws to a close choose from five double bedrooms, one set on the ground floor, a twin room, or a family room with double and a single.

You can choose to freshen up in one of two bathrooms, a first-floor cloakroom, or a ground-floor shower room.

Catch your rest before tomorrow's adventures in the county of Dorset.

Deer Leap House rests on the outskirts of Moreton with a convenience store to ease your self-catered stay and a plethora of attractions including The Tank Museum and Monkey World - Ape Rescue Centre which is perfect for animal lovers!

For keen ramblers or outdoor enthusiasts, the National Trust - Clouds Hill is a beautiful nature reserve to discover, afterwards you can refuel at The Frampton Arms.

Visit Maiden Castle, a well-preserved Iron Age hillfort, or National Trust - Hardy's Cottage, the former home of celebrated author Thomas Hardy in Dorchester which is known for its extensive collection of Roman era artefacts.

You can also go on an adventure to Weymouth and see the SEA LIFE Centre and the beautiful Greenhill Beach.

Deer Leap House's convenient location makes it a great base for families wanting to see all that Dorset has to offer.
