“Overall it is a very nice cottage in a good location.”

Having an enclosed garden was important to us as we have a dog so that was a bonus. The sitting room is a good size as is the main bedroom & the bed was very comfortable, however, the kitchen area is tiny, as is the bathroom. The second bedroom might be okay for kids but certainly not adults and the only wardrobe space is in the second bedroom, half of which is taken up with vacuum cleaner, brooms etc. We had one car and whilst two might fit on the drive, it would be tight & turning in or out ...

We had one car and whilst two might fit on the drive, it would be tight & turning in or out would become a major issue - there is no alternative parking anywhere nearby! The state of cleanliness, unfortunately, was poor with dust and mould in many places. The kitchen surfaces had clearly not been attended to very thoroughly and we felt the need to wash utensils and plates prior to use. As regards location, it is a short walk along a pleasant path to Dorchester and a very short walk to the Sun Inn, which is excellent. It is right on a busy road as other reviewers have noted so road noise might be an issue for some. We didn't sit outside due to the weather and time of year (late October). Finally, I did try to contact the owner at the end of our stay but got no response, luckily it was a trivial matter. Others have commented on the lack of response so I would echo that.
